Have time at home when you only speak your home language.


Maybe one mealtime or one day a week. Could be more depending on if both parents/caregivers speak it and what age and ability the children are at specking it.


Can you connect up with other families who also speak your home language.


If you are wanting your children to learn the written language then help them find internet sites that are not in English, you should be able to find some games in you home language to make learning more fun for them.


Also if they can read put labels on everything in both English and your home language.


There really is no limit to how many ways you can incorporate another language into your family life.


How about play snakes and ladders without English.
