Can a parent (who doesn't have primary custody of her child) demand that her child babysit for her?

The mom is threatening to call the police if the child doesn't babysit. Is this a legitimate threat legally, or is it a scare tactic? Can a parent (who doesn't have primary custody of her child) demand that her child babysit for her?
Go ahead and call her bluff. Tell her to call the police. I just wish I could be listening on the phone when she does it as she is going to get an earful about wasting police time!

As for whether or not she can force the child to babysit for her, it depends on whether or not it is during the mother's scheduled visitation. If it is, then I am afraid so (and for free), but if not, no. Also, if the child is old enough to babysit, they are probably old enough to tell the judge that they want to stop visitation or reduce it. The judge may even accept it.

Good luck! Can a parent (who doesn't have primary custody of her child) demand that her child babysit for her?
Um, no. That is what we call a ';crazy'; tactic. If she has to threaten to call the police to get someone to babysit her child, how good of a job is she really expecting that person to do? When people are forced into doing things they don't want to do, they are generally very careless about doing them.
The day the mother decided to open her legs and give birth, she took responsibility of taking care of this child!! She did not have the first child to enslave her. Shame..
The police won't do anything about it, it is the moms responsibility to watch her child.
WHAT? Sounds like a scare tactic. The police would never respond to a call unless someone is breaking the law.
in my opinion that would be crazy because they would assume u are a irresponsible parent and hand all the custody
Useless...if she calls the police, she will just look like an idiot. Let her call.
