How do I convince a parent who hates gun, to buy me a paintball gun?

Make a elaborate powerpoint that discusses how it is safe because of the gear you wear, it is not a weapon but a recreational activity, and wouldn't they rather have you paintballing then getting into bad activities like loitering or drugs.

I am a parent, and I hate guns (real, BBs, air) but i wouldn't mind if my sons wanted paint ball guns, as long as they are only using them at paintball places, buy it with their own money, and aren't wusses about the bruises they'll get.How do I convince a parent who hates gun, to buy me a paintball gun?
Take your parent with you and play paintball together-some places do rent the gun and safety equipment. Talk to your parent and find out why they are so against guns....

Another idea is to contact your state Department of Natural Resources and find out when and where they have ';firearm safety'; classes held. If you take a course in the proper handling of guns, that may make a difference.

Guns are to be respected, not feared. By themselves, a gun is harmless, however, add an irresponsible person to the mix and that is where the trouble starts.

In Minnesota before you can hunt it is MANDATORY that a gun safety class is taken and passed.

I grew up with guns in our house and my children did as well.

Good LuckHow do I convince a parent who hates gun, to buy me a paintball gun?
I don't think you will have much luck, but here are some ideas.

Tell them paintballing is a great sport

Tell them you want the gun to paintball and not anything else

Father/son bonding activity?

I dunno, you could always save the money and ask an 18 year old to buy one for you, or buy it on eBay or wait until you turn 18
All of the above suggestions are excellent. But my two cents are, whoever hates guns, hates peace. Think about it. Guns are a fundamental of being a free country, in that we are supposedly free, right? So, shouldn't that include guns? I don't care what you say, the 2nd Amendment was there for a reason, hundreds of years ago. People aren't going to change it now if it's been there for that long now. What would happen if we were invaded? We need another type of homeland security too. Even if you banned guns, guns would still be stolen or blackmarketed, even more-so because it would be illegal and it's the attraction to illegal things (i.e. Weed.) But sadly, ignorance is a hard thing to cleanse. I'm not insulting your parents, but rather, stating my honest, solid opinion about guns. My dad raised me like a good father and I went hunting with him and still do. It's a great sport, he's taught me gun-safety of utmost importance and good values. There's nothing wrong with it. Did I turn out to be some psycho murderer or gangbanger? Nope.

P.S. Paintball's the ****. Tippmann all the way!!!
How bout you save your money and buy yourself one...
