Would a mother be an unfit parent for this? Her 10 year old daughter told her that she wanted a permanent tattoo on her body. Her mother took her to a tattoo artist, some body she knew and she got one. The little girl was drew a picture that she wanted tattooed on her shoulder and got what she wanted.Would a mother be an unfit parent for this?
I wouldn't go so far as to call CPS but personal opinion, yeah she is not really making the best choices as a parent for her kids. She is trying to be her daughters friend first and parent second. That is fine once her kid is an adult (20s) but not at 10. I have a tattoo and I tell my boys that I was 28 when I got it so when they are 28 and can understand the cons of such a thing they can get one too but not before then.Would a mother be an unfit parent for this?
UNless your friend the tattoo artist wants to lose his business and his license, he can't give a tattoo to someone under 18 (16 in some places). I would think he would seriously reconsider being friends with a person who allows their 10 year old to get a tattoo for other than cultural reasons (but this isn't darkest Peru or tribal Africa we're talking about). However, I did see this on an episode of Dr. Phil, where the German father was talking about removing the daughter from the unfit mother's custody and taking her to Belgium to live. It was all pretty complicated, though.





I was thinking about getting one for myself, though, that said ';Y!A Top Contributor'; on it. What do you think?
technically its child abuse and illegal for both parties involved. the tattoo artist for tattooing someone underage as well as violating health codes by tattooing her outside a shop (and if he did tattoo her in the shop the shop is responsible as well as he is). the mother is responsible because she let her underage daughter get tattooed, something that is not legal under the age of 18 even with parental consent. its the same as if she gave her daughter a beer. even though she thinks its okay, doesn't make it okay.
the tattoo artist is irresponsible. they're not supposed to tattoo children under 16. It's stupid to let such a young child get a tattoo because in a year they'll get bored with it. And then they're stuck with it for the rest of their lives unless they spend thousands of dollars to get it lasered off.
i think it is stupid to decide anything permanent at 10 years old. but i think there are millions of idiots in the world so i am not surprised and i doubt anyone does anything about it. basicall just be happy you are not so stupid to do something like that.
Well, it is illegal to get a tattoo if you are under the age of 21. Also, the mother shouldn't let the daughter have EVERYTHING that she wants. Maybe the mother should hire a nanny.
I think that when you are than young your parents need to make decisions for you. the 10 year old daughter is probably going to regret getting that tattoo when she's older. I would have never done that
Bullshit, there is no way a 10 year old would have sat though a tattoo.
i would never have done that for my 10 year old. She will probably regret whatever it is she got tattooed
