My friend's mom is a single parent with two kids and cancer. She just had her car taken away?

My friend's mom has not been able to work because of needing treatment for the cancer, and she was not able to make a payment,so she got her car taken away. She tried telling ford the situation, and they said it was a ';buisness decsion.'; My question is, Are there any charities that might help her?My friend's mom is a single parent with two kids and cancer. She just had her car taken away?
Yeah, the charity called the US Governmet. There are a lot of programs that can help your friend and her mom.

On another note, call your local (and I mean LOCAL) news station and tell of the plight. That would be a lot better than trying to get the national folks in it.

Call the local TV stations and advise them.

Good Luck

there is help and as the person on top said its called the government. Also family and friends in case the government takes a bit too long.

She didnt have her car ';taken away'; she didnt make payments for it for at LEAST 3 months, so the car was repossessed. Many places DO work with the person as long as she didnt wait for that third month to come by and by the time the car was already jacked up and being taken away.

Knowing her status she should of planned ahead and let the dealership know what to do.

But a local church with enough money would be a lot faster.

Edit Add:

After reading the above post, if she's not already receiving govt assistance apply for the one time lump TANF help of $1000-$2000 I think it is.

If she can get $2000 one time lump TANF she can buy a cheap car.

But the fastest option is to get the word out about the story and someone around is bound to have something laying around collecting dust they can give away.
wow that relly sux. i have ben sick myself for over a year. came on suddenly and i have ben turned down by disability twice and i cant even get out of bed. so i kind of know how she feels. i have made donations to united way in the past. they claim these situations are what they help with. now after dealing with these types of services myself. its seems like a crap shoot. but somtimes you get lucky. united way, social services. and salvation army. they may not be able to do alot them selves but there offices know organasations ouotside of them. that can maybe help. but these days with the econmy the way it is. and the government being an *** backwards pile of crap its hard to get anything but poverty these days. but u wont get a darn thing unless you stay in their ear. make them tired of hearing from you. that usally works for me. good luck!!! dont give up.
Ask a library where the local organizations are that help the poor. Also, she could have a Christian church pray for her.
