Not without being legally emancipated, to do that you must get a guardian ad lid em ( young persons lawyer) to file for emancipation and have good reason why you feel you can take care of yourself! you must be able to care for all of your own needs. and be able to prove it.you can check your legal rights with any Child protective service in your county.Can a 16 year old guy living in Ohio legally leave home without parent consent?
Your parents are responsible for anything you do up to 18, so careful.





I am not criticizing or judging you, clearly you have your reasons. Now, if you have legitimate reason; such as abuse or neglect - you could be placed under foster care (and your parents arrested). There should be some form of compromise here, you believe you are responsible enough to be on your own - you can be responsible enough to resolve any misunderstandings.

No. You would have to be emancipated, which is really difficult to do! I've been there 2 years seems like forever but before you know it, you'll be 18! You should appreciate having a place to live and parents who don't want you to leave. The economy is terrible right now, you most likely wouldn't survive on your own anyhow. You obviously have no real perception on how much it cost being on your own!
At 16 he can leave, but they can file a report, but the authorities won`t force him to come home. It`s funny between 16 and 18 what they will do.
you can divorce your parents and be your own legal guardian, but that takes a lot of time and court orders.
