Should a parent let their child make some of their own decisions in their teenage years?

ok should parents let their teenagers make some of their own decisions, or should they make every decision for the teenager?Should a parent let their child make some of their own decisions in their teenage years?

I think they should sit down and discuss it, if the teen is responsible and trustworthy then I would allow her to pick several events where she could go and do these things and then discuss what she plans to do.

I am sixteen I live with my grandmother I respect her a lot she gives me freedom to do whatever I choose all she demands is I graduate school. I do home school since I have been kicked out of Public School for fighting ever since I have been doing my work at home on the computer I get positive grades for the most part. I am a boss I tell myself what to do I am ruthless but loyal I take no demands I feel my life is my life I do no wrong never touched a drug never did anything illegal never smoked a cigarette so I feel I am able to do as I please as an adolescent as long as I stay within fairness if my grandma asks me to feed the cat I do it I respect my family they respect me giving me freedom to live my life to the fullest and make my choices I have worked since I was eight having a job makes you learn self discipline.








I find if some one says I cannot do something it only makes me want to do it. my parents %26amp; family giving me freedom makes me make the right decisions.
Teenagers should be allowed to make their own decisions to a certain degree. But the whole point of being young and still at home is to have a stress and carefree life, to just enjoy your self without having to make major decisions.


Decide what your having for lunch, what your gonna wear, who your mates are, the simple things.. but leave the big ones for their parents. That is what they are there for! Lol.

It depends upon the decisions, clothing, hair, makeup etc should be the kid's decisions, curfew, dating, driving should be parent's decisions.
Yes parents should let their kids make SOME decisions on their own. Let them be teenagers that's how they learn about the world and other stuff.
Yes they can but just a few, they still they parents consensus.
Yea i think they should. Wish my parents did tho they dont let me have a say in anything!
