What are the roles and responsibilities of being a parent in the 21st Century?

There are many...

But I think the ones that seem to have been forgotten are among the most important.

Teach your child RESPECT.

Teach your child HONESTY.

Teach your child ETHICS AND MORALS.

Don't forget to DISCIPLINE YOUR CHILD.

Don't forget to BE A PARENT and BE THERE.

There's nothing worse than seeing the herds of unattended, out of control, classless brats running around loose...while mom or dad are wandering around on the cellphone sipping a latte totally oblivious of what their children are doing.

TV is not childcare.

PLAYSTATION is not a parent.

MAC %26amp; CHEESE is not a food group.

Theres no substitution for communication and being present in your child's life. What are the roles and responsibilities of being a parent in the 21st Century?
MANY!!!! Love, moral values, and education, try to make them a serving person to mankind!!!What are the roles and responsibilities of being a parent in the 21st Century?
People forgot the basics. Provide food, shelter, and safety. The education can't begin until those things have been attended.
I think it's the same, but a litle more convenient and easier. I know I shouldn't even say this becaus I'm not a mom, but with all the nice things they have like a stroller, diaper genies, ear thermometers, ultra sounds. I think it's more expensive now than the last century, but it's pretty much the same if not more convenient.

It also depends on where you live. If you live in a rural, I think it will be diffent. I think if you live in America, the kid has more toys, but same responsibilities like meeting basic needs.
hmm....

to the kids....:

LOVE

PROVIDING CARE, FOOD, SHELTER

RESPECT

ACTING LIKE AN ADULT

To the wife (if you are a man)...:

hello, respect, she gave birth to your children

can be emotional, so just help her

she can be stressful and man is she weak, so, cheer her up :)

i only named a couple in the rules of parenting and i'm not even a parent
