In Montana, does a parent/guardian have legal control over an 18 year old when he/she is still in school?

I've just been a bit confused about this for awhile. Different people tell me different things, and I find it quite impossible to navigate my way around the Montana Code Annotated page.In Montana, does a parent/guardian have legal control over an 18 year old when he/she is still in school?

I think not. I believe that if you are older than 17 years old you are an independent. I looked it up here not sure if it is a good site though.
